Requirements: 2 to 5 years of IP experience
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Bio-Medical Engineering degree.
The associate must be admitted to a state bar. USPTO registration is not required however associates are required to take the patent bar within 6 months of joining the firm.
Technologies include software- and electronics-driven technologies, including AI/ML, computer architectures, networking, and medical software/devices.
The firm highly values excellent writing skills, superior law school academics, and the ability to communicate well with the firm’s clients.
Responsibilities will include drafting and prosecuting patent applications and handling other patent counseling matters, including drafting opinions, conducting due diligence investigations, performing freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses, and handling post-grant proceedings, under the supervision of the firm’s partners.
